Welcome to the website of the New England Malawi Association (NEMA). We are a nonprofit, and non political association based in the New England area (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut) of the U.S.A.

The formation of this association dates back to the year 2005 and was pioneered by Malawians in Massachussets area, who decided it would be important to include more Malawians living in the neighbouring states. Todate, our membership has grown and attendance of NEMA events overlaps into many areas of the United States.

Since our inception (NEMA), our main purpose has been to facilitate a friendly environment where as Malawians we can be free to share ideas, information, and even be there for each other in time of need.

As members of the association, we recognize the power of many. We engange in projects, to support the needy in Malawi, (sometimes in conjuction with other Malawian associations & NGOs). Our goal is to make a difference where possible.
